Description

Two pulling patterns, one machine, one footprint. Vertical pulling from the Ski exercise machine position and horizontal pulling from the rowing position, both driven by the same air resistance system, which is the most space-efficient way to cover both movements.

KEY FEATURES

  • Combines ski and rowing functions in a single unit
  • Air resistance scales automatically with your effort
  • Covers both vertical and horizontal pulling patterns
  • One footprint instead of two separate machines
  • Performance monitor for both training modes
  • Suits home gyms and compact studios

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Buying one machine instead of two is the obvious argument, but the training case is just as strong. Vertical and horizontal pulling load the back differently: the ski position emphasises the lats through a hinge, while rowing emphasises the mid-back and rhomboids through a seated horizontal pull. Alternating between them produces more balanced upper-back development than either alone.

The compromise inherent in any combination machine is that neither mode is quite as refined as a dedicated unit. A purpose-built rower will have a longer rail and a more optimised seat, and a dedicated ski trainer a cleaner pull path. For most home users, the space and cost saved comfortably outweighs that difference.

TRAINING APPLICATION

Alternating modes within a single session is where this machine earns its place. A conditioning piece rotating between 500m rows and 500m ski intervals distributes fatigue across different muscle groups, letting you sustain a higher total output than either alone. It also breaks up the monotony that causes most home cardio equipment to end up unused.

HOW TO CHOOSE?

Choose the combination unit if you want both patterns and have space for only one machine. Choose a dedicated rower if rowing is your primary conditioning modality and you want the best possible stroke. Choose a dedicated ski trainer if upper-body pulling is the focus. Check the stated footprint and ceiling height, since the ski mode requires vertical clearance.

FAQs

Does it do both jobs properly?

It covers both patterns well. A dedicated rower will have a longer rail and a more optimised seat, so the combination unit trades a little refinement for a single footprint.

How long does it take to switch modes?

Switching is designed to be quick enough to alternate within a session. Check the stated changeover process on the page.

What ceiling height does the ski mode need?

Enough clearance for the handles at full extension above your head while standing. Measure before ordering, especially in a garage.

Is the resistance adjustable?

Air resistance scales with your effort automatically, so the machine suits every level without changing a setting.
