Cast iron is for lifters who want the most load in the least sleeve length. A dense, thin plate on a 2-inch Olympic bar leaves room for more discs after rubber bumpers have run out of space.
Pairs run from 1.25kg to 25kg, with a machined Olympic 2-inch (50 mm) bore and a black finish with the weight marked on the face. Graded sets go from a 15kg set to a 150kg set, and there is a Cast Iron Weight Plates Pro Set. If you drop the bar, use bumper plates instead. Iron is dense, and delivery across Great Britain (Scottish Highlands and Islands included) remains free on every order.
Bore, diameter and when to choose iron over rubber are in the weight plate guide.
