Trade & bulk orders
Trade terms
The terms that apply to orders placed on a trade quote: quotes, payment, delivery, returns and warranty for business customers.
- Phone (landline) +44 191 743 7100
- WhatsApp +44 7727 666 714
- Email support@liftsets.co.uk
- Hours (UK time) Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm
These terms apply to orders placed by businesses, public bodies and other organisations on a trade quote from LIFT SETS LTD (company number 16883724), St. Helens, Merseyside. They sit alongside the quote itself; where the quote says something different, the quote applies. Consumer orders placed through the online checkout are covered by our terms of service and the Consumer Rights Act 2015 instead.
1. Quotes
- Every trade quote is for the products, quantities and delivery postcode you send us. Volume bands on the trade page are indicative; the price on the quote is the price.
- Quotes are valid for 14 days from the date on the quote. After that, prices and stock are re-confirmed.
- Lists received before 2pm Monday to Friday are quoted the same working day; otherwise the next working day.
- Prices are shown including and excluding VAT. VAT is charged at the rate in force on the invoice date.
2. Orders and payment
- Pro-forma is our default: we raise a draft order and dispatch once payment by card or BACS has cleared.
- We do not run credit accounts and we do not invoice in arrears. Send a trade enquiry and we will come back to you with a quote. Payment is taken at checkout.
- Ownership of goods passes when we receive payment in full; risk passes on delivery.
3. Delivery
- Free delivery to every address in Great Britain, including the Scottish Highlands and Islands. Northern Ireland is priced by weight at checkout. Express delivery, where offered, is priced on the quote.
- Orders for in-stock items placed before 2pm Monday to Friday are dispatched the same working day. Lead times for anything not in stock are stated on the quote.
- Large orders may be delivered on a pallet; the method, any tail-lift or booked-slot requirement and the cost, if any, are confirmed on the quote before you order.
- Check the delivery on arrival and tell us as soon as you can, with photos, if anything is damaged, missing or incorrect.
4. Returns, faults and warranty on trade orders
- Goods must match the quote and be of satisfactory quality (Sale of Goods Act 1979). Faults present at delivery are repaired, replaced or refunded; tell us as soon as the fault appears.
- Unused items in their original packaging may be returned within 30 days of delivery by agreement; return carriage is paid by the buyer unless the item is faulty or not as quoted.
- Any manufacturer warranty that applies to a product is stated on the quote. Terms for commercial use are confirmed on request; see the warranty page for the categories we cover.
5. Your data
We use the details you send with a quote request only to price and fulfil that order. A quote request does not add you to any marketing list. See our privacy policy.
6. Contact
Trade enquiries: trade quote form, or email and phone on the contact page, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm UK time.
Delivery
Can a bulk order be delivered on a pallet?
Yes. Large trade orders may be delivered on a pallet; the method, any tail-lift or booked-slot requirement, and the cost if any are confirmed on the quote before you order. Say in the quote form if you need a specific delivery day or a tail-lift.
Is delivery free on trade orders?
Yes, standard delivery is free to every address in Great Britain, including the Scottish Highlands and Islands, whatever the weight. Northern Ireland is priced by weight, express is priced on the quote where offered, and large orders may be palletised with any cost confirmed on the quote.
Returns and refunds
Does the warranty cover use in a commercial gym?
Consumer warranty terms on the site cover normal domestic use; use in a commercial setting is excluded for free weights and machines unless it was quoted. Business customers get the warranty term for their order stated on the trade quote, and manufacturer terms for commercial use are confirmed on request before you order.
What are the return terms on a trade order?
Unused items in their original packaging can be returned within 30 days of delivery by agreement, with return carriage paid by the buyer unless the item is faulty or not as quoted. Faults present at delivery are repaired, replaced or refunded under the Sale of Goods Act 1979; consumer orders through the online checkout keep the 180-day policy instead.
Payment and orders
Do you offer finance or pay monthly?
Klarna Pay in 3 is the pay-later option offered at checkout on eligible orders, with eligibility and the schedule decided by Klarna before you pay. No other finance plan is listed on the site. Trade customers can send a trade enquiry and we will come back to them with a quote; payment is taken at checkout.
Do you publish a VAT number?
No, the VAT number is not published on the site. All prices shown are in pounds sterling and include VAT at the applicable rate; trade quotes show prices both including and excluding VAT.
Do you accept purchase orders?
We do not run credit accounts. Send a trade enquiry and we will come back to you with a quote. Payment is taken at checkout. If your organisation needs a purchase order number or a quote reference on the paperwork, tell us when you send your list and we will put it on the quote.
Do trade quotes show prices with or without VAT?
Both. Every trade quote shows the price including and excluding VAT, the delivery cost and the lead time for anything not in stock, and VAT is charged at the rate in force on the invoice date.
Trade and bulk orders
How quickly do you send a trade quote?
Lists received before 2pm Monday to Friday are quoted the same working day; lists received after 2pm, at weekends or on UK bank holidays are quoted the next working day. Every quote is valid for 14 days and shows the price including and excluding VAT, the delivery cost and the lead time for anything not in stock.
How long is a trade quote valid?
14 days from the date on the quote. After that, prices and stock are re-confirmed before the order is placed.
Do you offer credit terms for businesses?
We do not offer credit terms. Send a trade enquiry and we will come back to you with a quote. Payment is taken at checkout.
Does requesting a trade quote add me to a marketing list?
No. The details you send with a quote request are used only to price and fulfil that order; a quote request does not sign you up to marketing.
