Warehouse returns and ex-display

Warehouse returns

Equipment that came back to us under the returns policy, or reached us with a damaged box, does not go back on the shelf as new. Each unit is checked, graded A to D on cosmetic condition and photographed before it is listed at a lower price. Free delivery across Great Britain, 180-day returns and your statutory rights are unchanged.

Returned equipment does not go back on the shelf as new. It is checked for completeness and function, graded A to D on cosmetic condition, photographed as the actual unit, and listed here at a lower price with the marks described.

How our grading works

Grades describe cosmetic condition only. Every graded unit is complete and fully functional before it is listed, and the exact unit's marks are photographed on its listing.

  • Grade A: As new

No visible marks. Typically an unopened return or a unit that was only unboxed. Expect: nothing to distinguish it from new stock apart from the box.

  • Grade B: Light marks

Small scuffs or faint scratches you have to look for, usually on paint or rubber. Expect: minor marks that do not affect use.

  • Grade C: Visible wear

Obvious scratches, chips in paint or dents in a plate or rack upright, photographed on the listing. Expect: clearly used-looking, fully functional.

  • Grade D: Heavy cosmetic wear

Multiple marks, rust spots on cast iron or a repaired finish. Expect: it looks its price, and it works. Sold with the marks described and photographed.

What is inspected

  1. Complete

All parts, fixings, collars and hardware present. Anything missing is replaced from stock before listing or the unit is not sold.

  2. Working

Moving parts, welds, threads, rubber and coatings checked by hand. A unit with a functional fault is not graded; it is scrapped or repaired to new.

  3. Photographed

The listing shows the actual unit, including its marks, so what arrives is what you saw. Standard stock photos are not used for graded units.

Returns, warranty and your rights on graded stock

Returns

The same 180-day returns as new stock: contact us for a Return Authorisation Number, send it back unused and as received, no restocking fee. Refund policy.

Faults versus described marks

Cosmetic marks that are described and photographed on the listing are the condition you bought, not a fault. A fault that is not described, or anything that stops the equipment working, is covered exactly as it would be on new stock under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Warranty and your rights.

Warehouse returns FAQs

Is a graded unit second-hand?

Some are. Grade A is usually an unopened return; B to D have been unboxed or used briefly before coming back. The listing says which, with photos of the unit.

Can I choose the grade?

Each listing is one unit at one grade. If you want a cleaner example, the new-stock listing is always linked from the graded one.

Is the price fixed?

Yes. The listed price is the price; there is no bidding and no further discount code on graded units.

Is delivery still free?

Yes. Standard delivery is free to every address in Great Britain, including the Scottish Highlands and Islands, on every order, whatever the weight. Order before 2pm Monday to Friday for same-working-day dispatch; standard delivery takes 2–5 working days after dispatch. Northern Ireland is priced by weight at checkout. Delivery details.

Do you sell second-hand or refurbished equipment?

No. Everything Lift Sets sells is new, own-brand gym equipment: hex, adjustable and neoprene dumbbells, kettlebells, Olympic weight plates, barbells, power racks, benches, storage and cardio machines. The only exception is /pages/warehouse-returns, where returned units are checked for completeness and function, graded A to D on cosmetic condition and listed at a lower price with the marks described; clearance stock at /pages/clearance is new and unused unless the listing says otherwise.

Do you sell clearance or ex-display stock?

Any clearance or ex-display stock is listed at /pages/clearance (end-of-line equipment, last units of a size and boxes knocked about in the warehouse, new and unused unless the listing says otherwise) and /pages/warehouse-returns (returned equipment checked for completeness and function, graded A to D on cosmetic condition and photographed as the actual unit). Delivery, returns and your rights are the same as on every other order.

Can I return clearance or graded warehouse-returns stock?

Yes. Clearance and graded warehouse-returns units have the same 180-day returns as new stock: contact us for a Return Authorisation Number and send the item back unused and as received, with no restocking fee. Cosmetic marks described and photographed on a graded listing are the condition you bought, not a fault.

What do the warehouse returns grades A to D mean?

Grades describe cosmetic condition only. Grade A is as new with no visible marks, typically an unopened return; B has light marks you have to look for; C has visible scratches, chips or dents photographed on the listing; D has heavy cosmetic wear such as rust spots or a repaired finish. Every graded unit is complete and fully functional before it is listed and the actual unit is photographed.

Is a graded warehouse-returns unit second-hand?

Some are. Grade A is usually an unopened return, while grades B to D have been unboxed or used briefly before coming back; the listing says which, with photos of the exact unit. Each listing is one unit at one grade at a fixed price, with the same free delivery across Great Britain and 180-day returns as new stock.
