Description

Fifteen dumbbell weights in the space of one. This 24kg adjustable dumbbell replaces a rack of fixed pairs with a single selector, letting you move from a 2.5kg lateral raise to a 24kg press without owning, storing or paying for a full hex set.

KEY FEATURES

  • 15-in-1 weight selection up to 24kg per dumbbell
  • Quick-change selector for fast progression between sets
  • Knurled handle for secure grip during pressing and rowing
  • Compact cradle footprint replaces an entire dumbbell rack
  • Suited to hypertrophy, conditioning and rehabilitation loading
  • Compatible with the Adjustable Dumbbell Stand for lift-height storage

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

The economics of a home gym almost always favour adjustable dumbbells at the start. A fixed hex set spanning 2.5kg to 24kg means fourteen or more separate pairs, a tiered rack to hold them and roughly two square metres of dedicated floor. This 24kg adjustable dumbbell collapses that into one handle and one cradle, which is why it remains the most common first purchase for a spare-room setup.

Twenty-four kilos is a deliberately chosen ceiling. It covers the working range for the overwhelming majority of accessory and hypertrophy work, including dumbbell bench press, single-arm row, Romanian deadlift and shoulder press, for anyone under roughly two years of consistent training. Beyond that point the limitation is usually pressing strength rather than pulling strength, which is where the 40kg model becomes the sensible upgrade.

TRAINING APPLICATION

Progressive overload is the whole argument for adjustable loading. Because you can add weight in small increments rather than jumping straight from a 10kg to a 12.5kg fixed bell, you can run double progression properly, adding reps until the top of your range then nudging the load. The same handle covers a 4kg rear-delt fly and a 24kg goblet squat, so a full-body session needs no equipment changes at all.

HOW TO CHOOSE?

Choose 24kg if your heaviest dumbbell lift is currently below about 20kg and floor space is tight. Choose the 40KG Adjustable Dumbbell if you already press 22kg or more for reps, or if you expect to within a year, because outgrowing an adjustable dumbbell is the one mistake that cannot be fixed cheaply. If you train mostly high-rep circuits and want two bells in hand at once, a pair of neoprene or hex dumbbells is faster between exercises.

FAQs

Is 24kg enough to build muscle?

For almost all accessory work and for most compound dumbbell lifts in the first couple of years of training, yes. Hypertrophy responds to proximity to failure and total volume, not absolute load, so 24kg taken close to failure is highly effective.

Is the price for one dumbbell or a pair?

Check the variant selector on the page. Adjustable dumbbells are commonly listed per unit, and most people buy two for bilateral pressing.

How quickly can you change the weight?

A few seconds, which is fast enough for drop sets. Seat the bell fully in the cradle before adjusting so the selector engages cleanly.

Do I need the stand as well?

Not strictly, but it keeps the cradle at lift height and stops the tray being knocked out of alignment, which is the main cause of selector problems.
