Olympic Plates
A graded bumper set bought in one order, so your bar loads correctly from the first session. Buying bumpers as a set rather than pair by pair is cheaper per kilogram and guarantees consistent diameter and finish across every plate on the bar.
Mixing bumper plates from different batches or suppliers causes practical problems. Diameters vary by a few millimetres, thicknesses differ, and the bar ends up sitting fractionally off level. Buying a graded pro set in one order eliminates that, giving you plates that were manufactured together and behave identically on both sleeves.
A pro set also solves the increment problem. Bumpers are usually bought as heavy pairs, which leaves you jumping in 10kg or 20kg steps on the bar. A graded set includes the lighter pairs and change plates that let you add 2.5kg or 5kg to a working set, which is what makes steady progression possible on a press or a squat.
A complete bumper set supports the full Olympic and functional repertoire: snatch, clean and jerk, power clean, thruster, deadlift from the floor, front squat and overhead squat. It also makes failed reps safe to bail on, which is the practical reason many home lifters choose bumpers even when they never perform a competition lift.
Choose the pro set if you train Olympic lifts, do CrossFit-style conditioning, or deadlift from the floor without a rack. Choose cast iron plates if you train inside a rack and want the most weight per pound. If you already own heavy bumpers, individual pairs or change plates may be the better purchase than a full set. Add rubber flooring before the first drop, not after.
What is included in the pro set?
Eight plates: 2 x 5kg, 2 x 10kg, 2 x 15kg and 2 x 20kg (100kg in total). The barbell and collars are not included; add them from the barbell and collars pages.
Why buy a set rather than individual pairs?
Consistent diameter and finish across plates, better price per kilogram, and a complete range of increments from the first session.
Do I need change plates as well?
If your set stops at 5kg pairs, small 1.25kg and 2.5kg change plates are worth adding so you can progress in smaller steps on pressing movements.
How is a heavy set delivered?
Large plate orders are shipped across multiple boxes. Allow for parts of the order arriving separately before contacting support.

The Olympic Bumper Weight Plates Pro Set contains eight crumb rubber plates: 2×5kg, 2×10kg, 2×15kg and 2×20kg, 100kg in total. The lightest pair is 5kg, so add 1.25kg and 2.5kg change plates if you need smaller jumps. A barbell and collars are not included. The price is shown on this page.
Every plate in the Olympic Bumper Weight Plates Pro Set has a 2-inch (50mm) stainless steel insert, so it fits any Olympic barbell, EZ curl bar or trap bar with 50mm sleeves. It will not fit 1-inch standard bars.
All plates in the Olympic Bumper Weight Plates Pro Set are 450mm in diameter. Thickness is 26mm (5kg), 46mm (10kg), 63mm (15kg) and 72mm (20kg), so loading the full set on one bar takes 207mm of sleeve per side.
The Olympic Bumper Weight Plates Pro Set is 100kg in one box, and its cost per kilogram matches the 100kg Olympic Bumper Weight Plates set. Against the other two Pro Sets, the Cast Iron Weight Plates Pro Set is cheaper per kilogram and the Tri Grip Olympic Weight Plates Pro Set dearer. Each shows its own price on its own page, so the rate per kilogram you work out there is the current one.
Choose the Olympic Bumper Weight Plates Pro Set if you deadlift from the floor, train cleans and snatches, or do CrossFit-style conditioning where the bar is dropped. If you only train inside a rack, the Cast Iron Weight Plates Pro Set costs less per kilogram. The current price of each is shown on its own page.
Yes. The Olympic Bumper Weight Plates Pro Set is built for repeated dropping, with crumb rubber absorbing impact and a dead bounce. Lay rubber matting or EVA tiles first, especially on concrete or suspended floors, because force still reaches the surface underneath.
The Olympic Bumper Weight Plates Pro Set weighs 100kg and arrives as several parcels; it ships free anywhere in Great Britain, including the Scottish Highlands and Islands; Northern Ireland is priced by weight at checkout. Order by 2pm Monday to Friday for same-working-day dispatch; standard delivery takes 2 to 5 working days after dispatch.
You have 180 days to return the Olympic Bumper Weight Plates Pro Set. You pay return postage unless it is faulty; if it is faulty or incorrect the return is free. Cover is your statutory consumer rights rather than a separate manufacturer's warranty. Prices include VAT. Klarna is offered at checkout on eligible orders; trade quotes on request.

No. The set is 2 x 5, 2 x 10, 2 x 15 and 2 x 20 kg (100 kg), so its smallest jump is 10 kg on the bar; add 1.25 kg and 2.5 kg bumper change plates from the Olympic Bumper Weight Plates page if you want 2.5 kg or 5 kg steps on presses.
26 mm for the 5 kg, 46 mm for the 10 kg, 63 mm for the 15 kg and 72 mm for the 20 kg, all 450 mm in diameter with a 50 mm stainless steel insert. Loaded as a full set that is 207 mm per sleeve.
Yes. Every plate is 450 mm in diameter, so the bar sits at competition height from the first 5 kg pair and the start position stays the same as you add weight; it also lets you bail a failed rep safely.
Yes. It supports snatch, clean and jerk, power cleans, thrusters, deadlifts from the floor, front squats and overhead squats, and failed reps can be dropped. Put rubber flooring in the drop zone before the first drop.
As several boxes, each tracked, which can arrive on different days; allow for that before contacting support. Standard delivery across Great Britain is free; Northern Ireland is priced by weight at checkout.
