Weight Benches
The bench is the piece of equipment that multiplies everything else. Add one to a pair of dumbbells and you go from a handful of standing exercises to a complete upper body programme, with incline, flat and decline angles all available.
Capacity ratings on benches describe the combined weight of the lifter and the load. A 250kg rating therefore comfortably supports an 85kg lifter pressing 100kg, with a substantial margin. Treat the rating as a ceiling to stay well inside rather than a target, particularly on a folding bench where the hinge is the limiting component.
Padding quality determines how a bench feels after two years, not two weeks. Low-density foam compresses permanently under repeated loading, leaving a home bench that feels soft and unstable exactly where your shoulder blades sit. Denser padding stays supportive, which matters for pressing because a stable shoulder platform is what allows you to press hard.
A bench opens up flat and incline dumbbell press, chest-supported rows, seated shoulder press, skullcrushers, step-ups, hip thrusts, single-leg work and every seated dumbbell variation. Adjustable incline in particular is worth having, since the 30 to 45 degree range emphasises the upper chest and anterior deltoid in a way flat pressing does not.
Choose this adjustable weight bench if you want a capable, foldable option for a home gym with dumbbells or a barbell. Choose the 9-position bench if you want finer incline adjustment. Choose the tri-leg commercial bench if you press heavy and want maximum stability. If space is genuinely constrained, the folding design is the deciding factor here.
Does 250kg include my bodyweight?
Yes. Bench capacity ratings describe the combined weight of the user and the load being lifted.
Can I use it for barbell bench press?
Yes, with a squat rack or stands to hold the bar. The bench alone does not provide the uprights needed to unrack a barbell.
Does it fold flat for storage?
It folds for storage between sessions. Check the folded dimensions on the page against your storage space.
How many incline positions does it have?
Position count varies by variant. Check the specification on the page if fine incline adjustment matters to you.
As the combined weight of the lifter and the load: a 250 kg rating comfortably covers an 85 kg lifter pressing 100 kg. Lift Sets benches are rated 250 kg (Adjustable Weight Bench 250kg), 450 kg (9-Position Weight Bench) and 1300 lb, roughly 590 kg (Tri-Leg Commercial Weight Bench); treat the rating as a ceiling to stay well inside, and check fixings periodically.
The Adjustable Weight Bench 250kg if you want a foldable bench for a home gym with dumbbells or a barbell (six backrest levels, three seat positions); the 9-Position Weight Bench 450kg if pressing is central and you want fine incline control with an adjustable seat; the Tri-Leg Commercial Weight Bench (1300 lb rating) if you press heavy and want the most stable, non-folding platform with clear foot placement. All three need a rack or stands for barbell bench press.
132 cm long, 46 cm wide and 113 cm high with the backrest upright, and about 25 kg in weight. It folds for storage upright or under a bed.
A quick-lock mechanism rather than pins: six backrest levels across incline, flat and decline plus three seat positions, so you move between positions quickly while the bench stays securely in place.
Folded, either upright against a wall or under a bed, which is the reason to choose this bench for a spare room that is still a spare room. Check the folded size against your space.
It is sold for home gyms with a 250 kg combined user-and-load rating; the 9-Position Weight Bench 450kg and the Tri-Leg Commercial Weight Bench are the heavier options for serious pressing or light commercial use. Facilities are quoted per order on the trade and bulk page.
The G100 Power Rack lists this bench as the one to add for pressing inside the cage. The bench has no uprights of its own, so a rack or squat stands are needed for barbell bench press.
Thick high-density foam on an ergonomic backrest and seat, chosen to resist the permanent compression that leaves cheaper benches soft where your shoulder blades sit. Non-marking feet protect the floor.
